Strategic Plan 2016-2020: Shared our value strategy
The commissioning of the outer harbor of A Coruña, in the town of Arteixo, with the start of the discharge of oil into the REPSOL new maritime terminal planned for 2018, the development of shipments of different business from the inside port outer harbor, the railroad arrived, allowing the movement of all bulk solids from Punta Langosteira, the responsibility of the Port Authority to share economic and social value in the metropolitan area of A Coruna, the reconfiguration of the city of A Coruna and mandatory transparency of management beneath the constant focus of its stakeholders set a new framework for the proposed new Strategic Plan 2016-2020 of the port of A Coruña: Shared with the port of A Coruña progress, which will design, as shown below, from the identification of our mission, our vision and values on which we base our daily management, and analysis of strategic positioning, the environment, our stakeholders, the study of the economic impact of the port of La Coruna in their environment, and our internal unusual circumstances that lead us to a SWOT test, that is, of our strengths and weaknesses as an organization, and the opportunities and threats we face and seize to finally establish a set of objectives to be attained, which will be managed by a scorecard.
The choice of 2020 as the date for completion of the Strategic Plan is linked to different European, national and Galicia programs such as research and innovation within the EU Horizon 2020, the growth strategy of the European Union 2020, whose 20-20-20 objectives is that 20% intended to reduce primary energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 20% and increase renewable energies or RIS3 Galicia smart specialization strategy, coordinated by the Galician Agency innovation of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Mission, Visión and Values
The mission of the Port Authority of A Coruña is leading the port of La Coruna in creating shared value with the Company, through excellence in port activities.
The vision of the Port of A Coruña is to be a leader in logistics and industrial bulk movement in the North Atlantic.
The values on which it is based to exercise its mission the Port Authority are exemplary, Share Value and Values, Excellence, development and attracting talent, environmental integration, transparency and the search for the common good.
